Organized Spring Cleaning

Spring is just around the corner and that means it is almost time to tackle the spring cleaning of your home. Many people have a love/hate relationship with this task - then end result is so rewarding, but the the road to get there can be overwhelming.

Many people feel overwhelmed because they do not have a detailed plan of attack. Organizing this daunting task can help you stay on track and keep you motivated as you cross each item off your list. Here is a simple list of things to do for each room but modification for your home may be necessary.

Bedrooms

Wash bed and linens
Wash Pillows
Rotate and flip the mattress
Polish/Wax Furniture
Reorganize Closet
Wash Curtains
Clean Windows and Blinds

Bathrooms

Wash Shower, Tub and shower curtain
Wipe down mirros and sinks
Shampoo rugs
Re-organize Linen closet
Throw away expired products
Clean cabinets and drawers
Caulk around tub, sink and shower

Kitchen

Clean refrigerator/freezer inside and out
Clean stove inside and out
Clean dishwasher inside and out

Clean front door and glass

Vacuum and shampoo floors and rugs

Family Room/Living Room

Throughout the Home

Dust ceiling fans and light fixtures
Clean vents
Wash baseboards
Touch up paint
