Dan moved to the Lake ten years ago in June, 2005. As a kid, he spent much of his time at a smallish lake in Lees Summit called Lake Lotowana. His parents had a summer cabin, as did his grandparents, and aunt and uncle. So, Dan grew up as a "Lake Rat." In 2003 he recalls reminiscing about the days when he would spend all his time at the Lake and how much he thoroughly enjoyed and missed those times. In having a discussion with a long-time friend, he expressed his desire to give his kids the same opportunities of growing up around a Lake atmosphere, and getting back to Lake living before retirement.

It was that conversation that drew Dan to the Lake of the Ozarks. His friend was wanting to start a contracting business and was looking for a partner to start it with. The idea sounded pretty good to Dan, and after about 9 months of commuting back and forth from DeSoto, they sold their house and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks full time. Once he got down here full time, he realized that being up on high condo roofs and dangling from ladders everyday wasn't the right gig for him. This realization opened the doors to a career in real estate at the Lake of the Ozarks.
In 2006, Dan started in full time in the real estate industry with a small company in Lake Ozark. That company folded, and Dan was back to looking for a company to grow his real estate business with. Fortunately, in Spring 2009, Dan was invited to the Gattermeir Davidson team, now eXp Realty. Since then, he's been happily and successfully growing his real estate career while making a difference in the local community. Dan is involved with the Bagnell Dam Association of Realtors, as well as being involved with the Senior Olympics and Wonderland Camp volunteer programs.
