For more than 65 years, Bridal Cave has been a favorite family attraction. Discovered by Native Americans centuries ago, Bridal Cave lies beneath Thunder Mountain. It’s said to have been the site of the legendary Native American Wedding ceremony in the early 1800s. Today, Bridal Cave is still reserved by those who wish to have a truly unique and romantic wedding ceremony. In fact, more than 3,000 couples from around the globe have exchanged vows in the adorned Bridal Chapel. As one of the most scenic caves in America, visitors will see amazing formations, giant columns, stalactites, stalagmites and Mystery Lake, with convenient guided tours leaving throughout the day. Stark Caverns is a great family destination where visitors take an hour-long walking tour through amazing geological formations and waterways. Our Guests have the opportunity to learn about the cave’s treasured Indian burials and arrowhead collection, see a few of the more than 100 ancient bear beds, and hear how the cave has been used throughout history. Stark Caverns also offers a Gift Shop and picnic area.

8. State Parks
Lake of the Ozarks State Park is Missouri's largest outdoor 17,441 acre playground and can provide a pleasant diversion for Lake area visitors and residents. The park has 85 miles of shoreline and two public beaches, plus boat launching areas. Lee C. Fine Memorial Airport has a 6,500 by 100-ft. runway, plus terminal building, parallel taxiway, fuel and tie down service. Hiking trails, horseback riding stable and four organized youth camps are offered.

Ha Ha Tonka, one of Missouri's most treasured spots, contains over 3,600 acres on the Niangua Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks and is located five miles southwest of Camdenton on State Road D. There are 12 hiking trails (16 miles total) of various length­, which take you to such places as Devils Kitchen and Turkey Pen Hollow­, and there are 8 known caves. The park has numerous picnic areas, two of which are shelters that can be rented for events and a playground.
