Creating a Safe and Spooky Place for Trick-Or-Treaters
The weather is getting chilly, the scent of fall is in the air, and in just a short time kids will don their fun costumes and go door to door for candy. Either way, there are a few things you can do to help keep the area safe during this holiday season, and make it a fun trip for the kids. Keep Everything Well Lit On Halloween, a lit house is a sign that you have candy and are willing to pass it out. As a courtesy to parents and kids alike, keep your front yard, sidewalks, and porch well lit. If children will be trick or treating at night, you want to make sure that they have a safe experience on your property. Sweep off the sidewalks and porch, and make sure that everything is visible. If you won't be home, just turn out the lights and that will be a good signal that there isn't any candy at your home...
