Kick of the 2014 Season with the Lake of the Ozarks St Patrick's Day Parade

For many, the St Patrick's Day parade marks the beginning of the Lake of the Ozarks "season" each year...that is why this parade is such a HUGE event at the Lake!  This year the parade will take place on March 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip. The parade will have just a little bit of everything... cars, motorcycles, boats, charity/civic floats and many local area businesses tossing beads and candy to the kiddos that line the streets.  It's a fun day to bring the entire family out to enjoy the parade as well as some of the businesses along the Bagnell Dam Strip.  Be sure to bring a lawn chair and get your green on for the parade!! For those that cannot be at the parade, please be aware that the road will be shut down at 12:45 and will re-open around 3pm.   Access to HH/Horseshoe Bend will be available by using the new Hwy 242. Whether you Loved your high school prom or you didn't, the Daybreak Rotary Club is giving you a second chance!  The Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary Club presents the Winterfest 2014 Back to Prom.   It's your chance to relive the magic and raise money to help those in need in our own community! This is the 18th year for the Annual Winterfest Gala and it will be held at the Tan-Tar-A Resort on Saturday, March 1, 2014.   Doors open at 5:30pm and the party gets started at 6:00pm.  Here are a few things that you can expect to enjoy when you attend. 2013 Annual Fall Harbor Hop at Lake of the Ozarks

It's almost time for the Annual Fall Harbor Hop and boating enthusiasts from all over the Midwest will come to the Lake to say farewell to the 2013 boating season.  Many refer to this event as the "un-official" end of the boating season at the Lake of the Ozarks, although many times I have seen boaters out much later in the year! Either way, mark your calendars for this Saturday October 12, 2013!  You will have the opportunity to visit more than 40 participating restaurants and marinas to fill your poker hand with the chance of compiling a winning hand!!  A $15 donation per hand at any of the checkpoints will get you in the game and give you a chance to win prizes.  Feeling LUCKY?  Don't worry, you can enter more than once!!  Here's how you play... The 2013 September Boat Show is this Weekend!!

This weekend is the September Boat Show!  This great event will feature boats, PWCs, boating accessories, lake toys and so much more.  This is a great time to check out new products and talk to vendors that will help you find the products you are looking for!!  The event is presented by the Marine Dealers Association which is comprised of more than 50 marine dealers in the Lake of the Ozarks area. The Boat Show will be September 13-15 and will be held at Captain Ron's at the 34.5MM.  Captain Ron's is a great location to take the entire family to enjoy the beach area, sand volleyball, pirate themed gift shop and some great food!! The 2013 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Schedule

The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is a great charity event and is just around the corner.  This event is a week-long a variety of events that everyone can enjoy!!  The Shootout is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the Midwest with official speeds of 208mph.  The event has donated $100,000.00 to 22 different organizations in the Lake area!! 2013 Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop is Fun for All!!

It is almost time for thousands of rubber ducks to make their way down the Bagnell Dam River for the 5th Annual Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop.  The event will be held on August 3rd at the Historic Bagnell Dam.   This year there will also be a Duck Drop Golf Tournament on August 2 at The Cove Golf Course.   Registration will be at 7am and a shotgun start at 8:30 am.  The tourney is  4-person scramble with an entry fee of $125 per person.  This fee also includes 10 duck drop tickets that will qualify you for the $5000 race, breakfast at the Cove, Goody Bag and free admission to the awards party at Lazy Gators!! On August 3rd, the day will begin with a 5K Run and Waddle Walk. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m. Registration is $25 and children under 12 are free.
