25th Annual Christmas for Kids

Everyone thinks there's nothing to do at the Lake of the Ozarks during the "off-season," but that simply isn't true. This Sunday, one of the greatest annual events at the Lake returns for its 25th year: Lake Area Christmas for Kids! 25th Annual Christmas for Kids Christmas for Kids is a fantastic, fun, formal event designed to raise money and provide toys for children in need at the Lake of the Ozarks. This year, the event will be held: On Sunday, December 14th At 7:00 PM At the Lodge of the Fours Seasons in Campana Hall In addition to a simply wonderful evening out with other members of our great community, participants will get to enjoy hors d'oeurves, a cash bar, and a silent auction. Gattermeir Davidson's Mizzou Tree for Gala of the Trees

The Gala of the Trees starts tonight at Bootleggers!! This event is a unique holiday experience that offers Trees for auction that have been decorated and donated by local businesses.  The trees will be sold during a silent auction starting tonight at 5:30pm and ending Saturday, November 23rd.  Proceeds from the sale of the trees will be given to Candyland to help provide holiday gifts for local children in need. March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction Lake of the Ozarks

Signature Chef is a favorite event at Lake of the Ozarks that brings together the top local chefs, restaurants and caterers from various businesses to help raise money to give babies a healthy start in life.  The chefs donate their time and talent to prepare their finest samplings for guests to enjoy during the evening.   A silent auction will be held during the sampling. The gourmet sampling is followed by a live auction, which includes unique dining, entertainment and vacation packages of varying sizes, styles and themes. It's almost time for the 13th Annual Wing Ding!!  If you're a "wing lover," this is one event that you won't want to miss!!  Spicy, tangy, sweet, HOT, SMOKIN HOT...no matter how you like 'em, you're sure to find one that is just right for you!! The 2013 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Schedule

The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is a great charity event and is just around the corner.  This event is a week-long a variety of events that everyone can enjoy!!  The Shootout is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the Midwest with official speeds of 208mph.  The event has donated $100,000.00 to 22 different organizations in the Lake area!! 2013 Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop is Fun for All!!

It is almost time for thousands of rubber ducks to make their way down the Bagnell Dam River for the 5th Annual Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop.  The event will be held on August 3rd at the Historic Bagnell Dam.   This year there will also be a Duck Drop Golf Tournament on August 2 at The Cove Golf Course.   Registration will be at 7am and a shotgun start at 8:30 am.  The tourney is  4-person scramble with an entry fee of $125 per person.  This fee also includes 10 duck drop tickets that will qualify you for the $5000 race, breakfast at the Cove, Goody Bag and free admission to the awards party at Lazy Gators!! On August 3rd, the day will begin with a 5K Run and Waddle Walk. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m. Registration is $25 and children under 12 are free. The Daybreak Rotary WinterFest celebrates Mardi Gras Style

This weekend the Daybreak Rotary Club will have their Annual Winterfest Event.  The theme for the event will reflect the flare of Mardi Gras.  It's not too late to get your tickets and your favorite Mardi Gras attire and come out to help this great local charity.   Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self .  This event is one of the main fundraising events for our local chapter to raise funds.
