It's a great chance to get down and perform a deep clean on all of your flooring types, from carpet and wood to tile and vinyl. Whether you're selling a Lake of the Ozarks home and you just want to get it spic and span, or you've just bought your home and are getting it ready to move in, there are several different ways to clean different flooring types. Cleaning Wood Floors Over time, wood floors can get a build up of  dirt, oil, and grime, and they aren't completely removed by a weekly dust mopping. When you want to really get a good, deep clean on your flooring, you can use a wood-cleaning product diluted according to the instructions. Soak a sponge in the mixture, and the wring it to almost dry. You don't want to soak your wood floors, as that will cause damage.
