Memorial Day Weekend is well-known among vacationers as the official start to summertime at the Lake of the Ozarks, and it's finally almost here! TRUE or FALSE: Memorial Day was first known as Decoration Day. In the beginning, the holiday only honored soldiers who had died in the civil war. The northern states were the first to celebrate Memorial Day. The southern states refused to observe the holiday until it was expanded to include soldiers who had died in any war.
