Don't panic! We've all been there. This holiday season, the team at Gattermeir Davidson is here to help. Here are seven easy, last minute-holiday decorating ideas (that don't look last-minute).
Holiday Wreaths
Never underestimate the power of a first impression. Even if your indoor decorations are incredibly minimal (or nonexistent), a holiday wreath on your front door sends a warm, cheery, Christmassy greeting to all who enter your home.
Ornamental Displays (Option 1)
Even if you didn't have time to hang them on your tree, that doesn't mean that all of your Christmas ornaments have to spend their holiday season packed away in a box. Filling clear glass vases with bright Christmas ornaments is a wonderfully easy way to add holiday cheer to your home. You can also spruce things up by placing ornaments in or on top of candle holders.
Ornamental Displays (Option 2)
Who knew there were so many great ways to decorate with ornaments? (In addition to the obvious tactic of hanging them on your tree, that is.) If you don't want to hang them from your tree or display them in vases, you can hang them from furniture, picture frames, or other pieces that stay in your home year-round. Hanging ornaments from the handles on your kitchen cabinets and from your chandelier adds a delightful, surprising element of Christmas cheer where you least expect it.
Window Decals
What could possibly be easier than putting stickers on your windows? When used appropriately, Christmas-themed decals are very effective (and wonderfully simple) Christmas decorations. Not only that, but chances are your little ones will be more than happy to help put them up!

Christmas Candies
These decorations look good enough to eat! When placed in glass bowls and/or jars, deliciously enticing Christmas candies double as lovely Christmas decorations. Candy canes, peppermints, chocolates... Pick your favorites!
Christmas Cards
This is the ultimate Christmas decorating hack, because you don't have to do anything out of the ordinary! When friends and family send you Christmas cards, simply set them out for display. Just lay them out across a flat surface or open them slightly so that they prop themselves up vertically. This shows off their beautiful Christmas scenes and sentiments, adding a Christmas glow to your home... at no additional effort on your part.
Mirrored Messages
For surfaces that we spend a decent amount of time in front of every day, mirrors are often overlooked. They have wonderful decor potential, however! Use temporary window markers and/or paint (available at most craft stores) to write holiday greetings on the surfaces you and your guests will look at every morning, every night - possibly many times in between!
