Getting to Know Our Key Players: Bob Lindner
Over the years, we've made great strides in becoming the best real estate team at the Lake of the Ozarks. Along the way we've found success around every corner and have thrived immensely. That success didn't just come out of thin air though. eXp Realty wouldn't be where it is today without the hard work and dedication of our key players. This week, we're spotlighting Bob Lindner.
Originally, Bob is from the St Louis area. He lived at a small lake community just north of Edwardsville, Illinois, named ‘Holiday Shores’ and worked for the Maytag company as a District Manager for 17 years. In 1994, his family transferred to the Lake of The Ozarks to get away from the busy hustle and bustle of city life, and decided that this would be home. Bob resigned from Maytag, purchased American Appliance in Sunrise Beach, increased the business 340%, then sold it. In 2005, Bob started in Real Estate, and says he wishes he would have joined the industry long before he did because he finds it to be very rewarding to help people fulfill their dreams at the Lake!
Bob and his wife and best friend of 48 years, Linda, enjoys showing real estate together and tinkering around the house. Their sons, Bobby & Lance, are both in boat sales at Surdyke. Since the family tradition is sales, he believes their grandchildren will grow up to be excellent in sales just like their parents and grandparents. Bob says they can already sell him on just about anything!
Now, Bob didn't always strive to be part of the best real estate team at the Lake of the Ozarks. He started off with the dream of being a draftsman. However, since he likes to talk to people and couldn't see himself sitting alone in a quiet room with no conversation, the sales industry quickly called to him. Something that very few people may know about Bob is that he's a sentimental person with strong moral values. Most know him as a joker, but he has a strong belief that right is right, and wrong is wrong, and the truth will stand when the world's on fire. Bob is inspired by all people that are honest and sincere.
Bob's choice to join the eXp Realty team was not one that took much convincing. He says he didn't even finish the initial meeting with the owners before saying "Where do I sign?" What Bob says he really loves about the concept of real estate business that eXp Realty offers is that it brings a whole new excitement to the industry. All agents can build a business that will continue to pay them when they retire, the stock option to invest 5% of your commission and buy stock at 80% is an absolute no brainer, and the profit sharing has been a very pleasant surprise. eXp is the best opportunity that he has ever seen: to be in business for yourself, but not by yourself.
